Award Ceremony of The Math Advent Calendars

  • by

The award ceremony for the “MATH+ Advent Calendar” and the “Mathe im Advent” Advent Calendar will take place on January 26, 2024, at the Max-Kade-Auditorium of the Free University of Berlin. Prizes will be awarded to classes, schools, and individual players. A math bazaar, music, and a math show will make the award ceremony an unparalleled experience!

The award ceremony will take place from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Entrance is allowed from 1:30 PM.

Program & Schedule

The program for the award ceremony is very diverse. In addition to the presentation of individual, class, and school prizes, there will be mathematical entertainment and a program with live music. Get ready for some surprises!

Two photographers will be on-site to capture the events and all the winners. Official photos will be taken in the foyer before the hall to avoid disruptions during the awards. The photos will be made accessible to all participants of the award ceremony as quickly as possible.

Preliminary Schedule:

  • From 1:30 PM: Check-in, wardrobe, and math bazaar in the foyer before the hall
  • From 2:30 PM: Entrance to the hall
  • 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Award ceremony
  • 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Photo session, wardrobe, light snacks, and math bazaar in the foyer before the hall

Please check the displayed seating plan. There is space to linger in the foyer before the hall. There are only a few snack bars and cafes nearby, so it is better to look for dining options in Berlin-Mitte upon arriving at the main station. After the event, we will provide light snacks and beverages.

Registration for the Award Ceremony

All winners will receive an email invitation shortly. For the smooth planning of the event, we kindly request a prompt response, no later than January 12, 2024.

If you are not among the winners but still wish to attend the award ceremony, please send an email to us by January 12, 2024, at schools@mathplus.de

Consent Declaration (Einverständniserklärung)

To fully participate in the event, a written consent for the use of photo and video recordings must be provided since the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO). For this purpose, a check-in will be set up in the foyer of the hall. Every identity will be personally verified with a student, child, or ID card, and the corresponding consent declaration (Einverständniserklärung) will be collected. Only after successfully completing the check-in will entry to the parquet floor be granted, allowing participation in games, activities, and the stage award ceremony!
